Empire on the Paper (and another poem)
I fold a piece of paper, into an empire
Gun and cannon, cat and dog
Properties of the empire, servant of the empire
I restore them one by one, I save them one by one
I fold a piece of paper, into a garden
Everybody has a garden, but the gardener died
The garden lies waste, there is a flowery tree beside the small grave
Where a landlord and a gardener are buried
I fold a piece of paper, into an airport
You enter flustered, and out comes a foreigner
Whose clothes are glittering, and he bosoms the universe
A long track behind him
I fold a piece of paper, into the now you
Your ugly performance, your coyness
The unique person wears paper clothes
The mouth and ears, eyes and nose are all askew
I fold a piece of paper, into a Lung Chair
On which an emperor is sitting
The imperial concubine rides a bamboo horse, and goes past the Southern Shore
The empire also goes past the Southern Shore, to startle the household on paper
Biography of Mango
Holding a Yengisar knife
In the study of a clear morning of summer
Am I going to cut open a yellow mango
Or Alexander Solzhenitsyn
The white hair of Solzhenitsyn is like a pile of snow
In that year, when the president enters his study
He compromised, four eagle-like eyes
The minute of looking at each other, I marvel at the compromise of history
I wash my hands in the clean water of praises
The next speech is on his funeral
When I cut open a mango, I smell the clear
Fragrance, as well as the faint rage after the ferment
Of personality—the smell of rage
I bite at the mango, at the hard lunch of the prisoners
Of the Gulag Archipelago, a string of mangoes are hung
On the chin of Solzhenitsyn, the golden fruits are ripe
He is sitting at the table to deliver his last oath
I eat up the baby-like mango
It is my life-long career to be enemy to human beings
